PegasusMRA increasingly supports all levels within chambers to develop specific sector specialisms and/or clients; to develop new processes and procedures (such as public access) and to develop new skills. Some examples are:
Preparation for an industry-specific client seminar – for a leading chambers
This leading chambers sought coaching support to develop and prepare for a high-level and strategically important seminar. The seminar was to be delivered by 4 members of chambers so it needed to be delivered in a co-ordinated and seamless way. Support was provided by:
- Clarifying the target market, aims and objectives as well as the required key outcomes.
- Co-ordinating the design, style, format and content for the seminar.
- Coaching individuals in their personal and brand-specific delivery style, body language etc.
- Developing the lead presenter’s chairing skills; dealing with/allocating questions,
co-ordinating links between presenters and working together cohesively as a panel. - Confidence building and critiquing during practice presentations and “dry runs”.
This interaction was run as a project with a timed development plan which could then be (and has been) used again for future presentations. The result was a highly co-ordinated and polished seminar which received excellent feedback, raised profile, opened doors and significantly increased work levels.
Business development review – chambers’ family team
This business review within a chambers’ family team was facilitated with the aim of gaining more business. PegasusMRA was able to provide support by using the Pegasus model.
- Understanding/analysing the current team client base/positioning – where are we now?
- Clarifying objectives, opportunities and priorities – where do we want to be?
- Devising a more co-ordinated and directed business development strategy – the strategy.
- Supporting/reviewing the proactive implementation of the strategy – implementation.
This team is now working with greater direction, confidence, pro-activity and effectiveness whilst developing and maintaining market share in their work area.
New Clerks coaching – underpinning the team approach
PegasusMRA coaching plays a crucial role within the chambers and clerking team induction process by supporting the development of client care skills and techniques by:
- Increasing awareness of best practice client care skills by understanding and dealing with different client needs; communication styles and expectations.
- Self-realisation exercises to hone work styles, organisation and planning techniques.
- Developing telephone techniques to make a positive impression on the initial telephone call.
- Developing influencing and persuasion techniques to cope with different types of people.
This approach supports Chambers in developing a consistently high level of client care skills whilst underpinning the chambers’ cultural approach and building confidence and mutual understanding at an early stage.
